Two layers
Suggestions run while you write. Proofread is one deliberate pass when the draft is nearly done. Both open from the paper's ⋯, under Suggestions and Proofread.

As you type
Grammar, spelling and style issues are underlined on the paper and listed under Suggestions. Nothing is changed until you accept it.- Proofread
One full pass
Press Proofread in Suggestions when the draft is ready. A long draft needs more than one pass, and Revise tells you how many Standard actions that uses before it starts. The line at the foot of Suggestions shows the cost, for example Uses 1 Standard action, and what is left.
Working through the list
Open an issue
Choose it in Suggestions or click the underline. You see the original, the change, and alternatives when there is more than one.Accept or ignore
Press the replacement to apply that change, or Ignore to clear it. A spelling issue can also be added to your dictionary. The Fix N spelling and punctuation control applies those safe fixes together.Read the message in Suggestions
When there is nothing left it says so. When the draft is empty, Proofread asks you to write something first.
