When something goes wrong

Select the passage on the paper again and let go. Adjust and Ask about this appear under it once the selection rests. In the extension, the Revise mark stands beside the words instead; if it does not appear, open the side panel to check you are signed in and Revise is on for this site, and refresh a tab that was open before you installed.

If you edited the passage while Revise worked, nothing is applied and Adjust says so. Select the current wording and run it again. In Docs or Word Online, check the page first; the change can land a moment late.

That page cannot be edited directly. In the extension, the line from the mark says Couldn't write it here and holds the new words; press Copy, and paste them where they go.

On the web, ask for a draft on the home, or press Or start on a blank page under the bar. In the extension, click into an empty box and point at the Revise mark for Write…, or press Ctrl+Shift+Y (⌘+Shift+Y on a Mac).

Proofread needs text. If there is text, the message in Suggestions says whether the connection or your actions are the problem.

A send that fails says so in the chat, with Try again beside it.

Couldn't save. Retry appears at the top of the paper. Press it, and leave the draft open until it goes.
